  Purchased 4 Royal Doulton Lace Point Rim Soup Bowls from their ebay account. They stated they were in great condition but 2 of the bowls had obvious damage to the platinum trim when they shipped them. They said they would replace the 2 damaged bowls but then renegged on that and tried to get me to return the items at my cost when they knew full well they are responsible for return shipping on items that are not as described. They also incorrectly completed the customs forms which cost me a handling fee from Canada Post as they had to manually input the customs information. Ebay has had to step in and refund for the 2 bowls and half the shipping cost. The seller still owes for half the sales tax and the handling fee so we will see if they at least refund that amount without further ebay interaction. I have purchased many things over many years on ebay but this is the first time I have had to request a return for items not as described.
